We are working for a well established business in central York who are looking for a new payroll processor to join their well-established and friendly payroll team.

What the Payroll Job Involves?
- Working in a small payroll team you will be processing a variety of payrolls that vary from weekly to monthly.
- Processing starters and leavers for a number of different clients.
- Calculating holiday pay in line with current legislation as well as assessing entitlement to statutory payments, such as SMP, SPP, MSP and SSP.
- You will also be responsible for uploading pension contributions to multiple pension providers.
- Processing PAYE payments and CIS returns
- Meeting HMRC submission deadlines
- Producing P60’s, P45’s.
Skills required:
- Experience in payroll is essential, although it can be from any industry or sector.
- Excellent communication skills as you will be speaking to people on a daily basis over the phone and via email about their payroll queries.
- Someone who has strong numeracy skills with the attention to detail to match.
- Experience using payroll systems, accounting systems or other CRM
- Fully computer literate with Word, Outlook, excel etc.

- This is a full time position working 37.5 hours a week
- Hybrid working available after probation
- 24 days holiday + bank holidays that will increase after time
- Study support if requested
- CPD and professional subscriptions paid for
- A number of team building days out and the chance to get involved in 2/3 volunteering days a year.
