We are delighted to be working for a small to medium sized business in the Filey area who are looking for a part time Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team due to retirement.
What the accounts assistant job involves
- Creating and sending out complex sale invoices on a monthly basis for ongoing projects
- Monitoring budgets and spend for each project.
- Building relationships with clients to obtain authorisation for invoices and progress on projects.
- Collate contractor timesheets and check hours worked against project allowances.
- Check budgets, costs, contractor allowances and calculate what is chargeable to the client, and what is payable back to the contractor.
- Creating reports for head office each week.
Skills required
- A strong attention to detail
- Highly organised
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Fully computer literate with experience of using an accounting software such as Sage, Xero or QuickBooks.
Other information
- Circa 3 days a week, this may increase at the beginning of the month. You are then able to take time back at the back end of the month, or take the overtime pay.
