We are working exclusively for a Scarborough-based manufacturing business who are looking for a Temporary Office Manager to help keep the wheels turning during a period of increased workload. This is a hands-on, varied role in a busy environment, where you’ll have your own office space to focus and get things done.
What the Office Manager job involves
This is a broad office management and coordination role where you’ll support the day-to-day running of the office and help improve internal admin processes. Key priorities include:
- Day to day quotations on jobs, ordering materials for orders and sending customers all relevant information needed.
- Tidying and organising the shared server and electronic filing system.
- Standardising templates and processes (e.g., for quotes to speed up turnaround).
- Creating and maintaining quote documents and folders with photo examples to demonstrate work clearly.
- Consolidating and standardising RAMS (risk assessments/method statements), so they can be easily amended per client.
- Creating installation guides and standards with photos and descriptions to support consistent fitting/installation.
- Supporting admin around compliance and portals (e.g., documentation uploads and industry standards work).
- Assisting with applying for industry relevant accreditations including portal set-up and coordination of documents required.
Skills required
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
- Self-managed and comfortable prioritising an ever changing workload
- Confident with Excel and working with shared drive folders and online portals / websites
- Happy working in a manufacturing / industrial environment
- Comfortable being the person who “makes things happen” and brings structure to a growing admin function
Other information
- This can either be worked full time or 4 days a week.
- 100% office based
- Possibility that it could go permanent for the right person
- Car parking on site
