What the Finance Business Partner job involves
You will play a key role in supporting the Head of Commercial Finance, focusing on operational reporting and business partnering for a globally based commercial team.
- Acting as the right-hand person to the Head of Commercial Finance, taking ownership of operational reporting responsibilities.
- Analysing and explaining operational variances to provide insightful commentary.
- Managing all aspects of management accounting for the commercial team.
- Preparing comprehensive data and presentations to support the Head of Commercial Finance.
- Business partnering with the commercial team, offering expertise in business planning and costing support.
- Providing valuable advice on product and service offerings.
This is a varied and fast-paced role that would suit someone who enjoys being at the centre of a team, managing multiple priorities, and providing excellent financial and strategic support.
Skills required
We are seeking a proactive and hungry individual, eager for a challenge and able to seamlessly integrate into a young team dynamic. Ideal candidates will have:
- Full qualification (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) is essential.
- A strong level of proficiency in Excel.
- Essential PowerPoint skills for presentation preparation.
- Proven commercial industry experience in operational reporting.
- Experience with multicultural stakeholders or a demonstrable openness to working with diverse teams.
- A meticulous approach to spreadsheet management, ensuring cleanliness and order.
Other information
- Salary range of £70,000 to £75,000 per annum.
- 37.5 contracted hours per week.
- Hybrid working available
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- 15% employer pension contributions.
- 20% discretionary completion bonus for the 12-month fixed-term contract.
- Private BUPA healthcare for the individual.
- The initial 12-month fixed-term contract has the potential to become permanent based on funding.
