We are delighted to be working exclusively with a growing SME business in Bridlington who provides compliance and business services to the construction industry. Due to someone leaving to go on maternity leave, they are now looking for a People Manager for their Customer Service and Admin team.
Training, coaching and developing a team of around 15 people, this is a hands on role where you can really make a difference to your team and get the most out of them.
What the Customer Service and Admin Team Manager job involves
- Delegating workload in a busy department
- Coordinating rota’s and shifts for all team members
- First point of contact and final decision maker for the team and their customers
- Identifying and coordinating training and development for each member of the team
- Creation of the annual training plan for the team to upskill and retrain where necessary
- Coaching and mentoring team members
- Attending senior management meetings to update the board on your team performance
- Managing and grievances and disciplinaries or other HR issues within the team
- Onboarding and training of new starters
- Managing absence and sickness within the team, conducting return to work interviews
- Managing holidays for the team, checking that there are enough people to cover any absences
Skills required
- Previous experience of managing a team
- Experience of training, developing and coaching staff
- Highly organised and able to manage a busy and demanding workload
- Attention to detail and process driven
- Able to build relationships and get the best out of your team
- Experience of an admin based / customer service team
Other information
- Full time Monday to Friday 8.00 – 5.00 (2.5 hours back each week on a rota)
